Dental health and self-esteem are related

The importance of oral health lies in the prevention of various diseases that are detrimental to our physical and emotional well-being. A healthy smile is part of the personal presentation that expresses a lot of ourselves to others.

The mouth plays a fundamental role in our health and general well-being. Therefore, keeping your mouth healthy is very important.

The external characteristics of the mouth and the presentation of our teeth are part of our physical appearance. Therefore, they are very important in the image we project to others and having a pleasant mouth favors human relationships and raises our self-esteem.

Good hygiene begins with a proper brushing, which should be done after each meal, drink intake, especially sugary and carbonated drinks, snacks or snacks, or any food.

The most important brushing, and the one that should not be missed, is the after-dinner or the last ingestion before sleep. There are hard foods such as raw carrots that, when they are bitten, drag the bacterial plaque. Other foods such as cheese seem to have demineralizing enamel properties.

A healthy mouth is the reflection of a healthy body and a well-integrated person in society. Therefore, we advise you to take care of the health of your mouth and visit an dentist at least twice a year (every 6 months).

Remember that one of the most important things we can do for our teeth and gums, and therefore for our self-esteem, is to maintain good oral hygiene. The healthy teeth not only give us a good personal appearance, but make us feel good. Good oral health is important for our general well-being.
